Jardiance 10 mg - 30 Tablets

Jardiance contains the active substance empagliflozin. It is a member of a group of medicines called sodium-glucose co-transporter-2 (SGLT2) inhibitors.
It works by blocking the SGLT2 protein in your kidneys. This causes blood sugar (glucose) to be removed from your urine thus lowering the amount of sugar in your blood.

Indications:
Type 2 diabetes in adult patients (aged 18 years and older), can't be controlled by diet and exercise alone.

Active Ingredient:
Empagliflozin.

Side effects:
Jardiance may cause swelling of the face, lips, mouth, tongue, or throat that may lead to difficulty breathing or swallowing.

Cautions:
• Hypersensitivity to empagliflozin or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
• Ketoacidosis.
• Type 1 diabetes.
• Serious kidney or liver problems.
• High risk of dehydration.
• serious infection of the kidney or the urinary tract with fever.
• pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Interactions:
• Diuretics.
• other medicines that lower the amount of sugar in your blood such as insulin or a “sulphonylurea” medicine.
