• Betagen is a histamine analog medicine that is used to treat symptoms of Meniere's syndrome such as dizziness (vertigo), ringing in the ears (tinnitus), loss of hearing, and nausea.
• It works by improving blood flow in the inner ear by lowering the build-up of pressure.

Benefits:
• Betagen is a medicine that is used for the treatment of vertigo (dizziness linked with vomiting or nausea), tinnitus, and hearing loss or reduced hearing ability.
• Also used for the relief of vestibular vertigo symptoms (vertigo even when you are not moving).
How to use:
• Adults and elderly: Recommended total daily dose is 24 – 48 mg divided into multiple doses to be given throughout the day at equal intervals.
• If you are using Betagen 16 mg: take ½ - 1 tablet orally three times daily.
• If you are using Betagen 8 mg: take 1 - 2 tablets orally three times daily.
• Your doctor will be recommending an adjusted dosage regimen if needed depending on how you respond to the medicine.
• Children (under the age of 18 years): the use of Betagen tablet is not recommended in children due to a lack of efficacy and safety evidence.
Side Effects:
Betagen Tablets may cause:
• Indigestion, nausea, and headache.
• Abdominal pain, abdominal distention, bloating, and vomiting.
• Allergic reactions of the skin or tissues under the skin (e.g. hives; itchiness; rash; sudden neck, face, or limb swelling).
Cautions:
• Stop taking Betagen right away and talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you develop allergic reactions.
• Talk to your doctor if your symptoms are getting worse or are not improving after a few weeks have passed after taking Betagen.
• Talk to your doctor before starting this medicine if you have bronchial asthma or if you have previously had a stomach ulcer.
• Do not repeat the same prescription without consulting your doctor first.
