Dostinex Tablet 0.5 Mg - 8 Table:
Dostinex (cabergoline) is a dopamine receptor antagonist used to treat a hormone imbalance in which there is too much prolactin in the blood (also called hyperprolactinemia).
Indications:
• Dostinex Tablets are indicated for the treatment of hyperprolactinemic disorders, either idiopathic or due to pituitary adenomas.
How To Use:
• The recommended dosage of DOSTINEX Tablets for initiation of therapy is 0.25 mg twice a week.
• Dosage may be increased by 0.25 mg twice weekly up to a dosage of 1 mg twice a week according to the patient's serum prolactin level.

• Spinning sensation.
• Lightheadedness.

• Hot flashes.
• Numbness or tingly feeling.
• Dry mouth.
Cautions:
• Before initiating treatment, cardiovascular evaluation should be performed and echocardiography should be considered to assess for valvular disease.
• This drug may make you dizzy.
• Do not drive, use machinery, or do anything that needs alertness until you can do it safely. To reduce the risk of dizziness and lightheadedness, get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position.
• It is unknown if this medication passes into breast milk. However, this medication may affect breast milk production. Therefore, breastfeeding while using this drug is not recommended.
Interactions:
• Some products that may interact with this drug include antipsychotic medications.
• Dostinex should not be administered concurrently with D -antagonists, such as phenothiazines, butyrophenones, thioxanthenes, or metoclopramide.
