Zovirax 5 % 2 gm - Cream
Aciclovir Cream, 5% is (antivirals) a herpes simplex virus (HSV) deoxy nucleoside analog DNA polymerase inhibitor.
Zovirax speeds up the healing of the sores and decreases symptoms.
Zovirax indications:
• Herpes Simplex virus infections of the skin including initial and recurrent genital herpes and herpes labialis.
How to store:
keep at room temperature.
Active Ingredient:
Aciclovir
Aciclovir side effects:
• Allergy reaction, for example, swelling of the lips, face, and eyelids.
• Mild burning or stinging after application.
• Redness, itching, or a mild drying or flaking of the skin, skin rashes, hives, or weals.
Cautions:
• Hypersensitivity to acyclovir USP, valacyclovir, or any component of the formulation.
• Inside your mouth (e.g. For mouth ulcers) or nose or eyes.
• For any skin infection other than a cold sore.
How to use Zovirax:
• Adults:
Zovirax Cream should be applied five times daily at approximately four hourly intervals, omitting the nighttime application.
• Pediatrics:
Zovirax Cream should be applied five times daily at approximately four hourly intervals, omitting the nighttime application.
