Zyloric 100 Mg -100 Tablets
Allopurinol (xanthine oxidase inhibitor), acts as a neuroprotectant by preventing formation of free radicals that trigger programmed cell death. Free radical production occurs after reperfusion and reoxygenation after an hypoxic-ischemic insult.
Allopurinol reduces the production of uric acid in the body. Uric acid buildup can lead to gout or kidney stones.
Allopurinol is used to treat gout or kidney stones.
Allopurinol is also used to decrease levels of uric acid in people who are receiving cancer treatment.
