Singulair 10Mg - 28 Tablet

Montelukast

Montelukast is used to treat asthma.

Control and prevent symptoms caused by asthma,This medication can help decrease the number of times you need to use your quick relief inhaler.

When taken regularly, Montelukast helps to prevent the chest tightness, wheezing and breathlessness that is common in asthma.

It may also be used to prevent breathlessness that is triggered by exercise or physical exertion.

Montelukast is meant to be taken long-term. It is not meant for fast relief during acute asthma attacks.

Indications:

Your doctor has prescribed Singulair to treat asthma, preventing your asthma symptoms during the

day and night.

• Singulair is used for the treatment of adults and adolescents 15 years of age and older who are

not adequately controlled on their medication and need additional therapy.

• Singulair also helps prevent the narrowing of airways triggered by exercise.

• In those asthmatic patients in whom Singulair is indicated in asthma, Singulair can also provide

symptomatic relief of seasonal allergic rhinitis.

Points of interest:

•Montelukast must be taken regularly for it to work well.

•Do not stop taking it unless instructed by your doctor.

•Your condition may worsen if the medicine is stopped suddenly. Montelukast cannot relieve an acute asthma attack.

•You should continue to keep your "rescue" inhaler by your side at all times.

How to use:

•For adults and adolescents 15 years of age and older:

•The recommended dose is one 10 mg tablet to be taken daily in the evening.

•If you are taking Singulair, be sure that you do not take any other products that contain the same

active ingredient, montelukast.
