Gasec 40 mg 14 Caps For Stomach Ulcers and Acidity
Gasec contain Omeprazole.
Omeprazole is A proton pump inhibitor that acts by reducing gastric acid. It is specifically inhibiting the acid pumps in the parietal cells within the stomach.

Indications:
Gasec used for:
• Acid-related dyspepsia.
• GERD/ Reflux esophagitis.
• Gastric and duodenal ulcers.
• Gastric acid reduction during general anesthesia.
How to use:
Take Gasec capsule once Or twice a day, 30 Minutes Before food. or as prescribed.
Point of interest:
• The patient should swallow the Gasec capsule whole and not chew or crush it.
• Patients should tell the doctor if they develop black stools or dark vomit.
Cautions:
• Patients at risk of osteoporosis should maintain an adequate intake of calcium and vitamin D.
• Should be prescribed only for appropriate indication at the lowest effective dose.
• Gasec capsule may reduce the absorption of vitamin B12.
Interactions of Gasec:
• Coumarins: The anticoagulant effect of coumarins is possibly enhanced by omeprazole.
• Posaconazole: The plasma concentration of posaconazole is possibly reduced by omeprazole.
• Atazanavir: omeprazole reduces plasma concentration of atazanavir.
• Clopidogrel: anti-platelet effect of clopidogrel is reduced by omeprazole.
